Ivan F. LaFrance, ChFC

President of Retirement Resources of Louisiana, Inc., has been assisting seniors for the past 34 years.He is an experienced financial educator and a published author.He has developed a specialty in working with retirees, and those about to retire, to help them preserve their principal and make their money last.Ivan has counseled hundreds of investors and explains how retirees can avoid common pitfalls when investing; how to cut taxes by as much as 30 percent; how to avoid taxes on social security; and how to preserve estate values. Investors that have used Ivan’s advice include pre-retirees and retirees of IBM, Chevron/Texaco and Exxon, as well as retired government employees, teachers, physicians and business executives approaching retirement.

Mr. LaFrance began his career as an account executive in 1985 with MetLife Securities and was quickly recognized by the industry and his peers for sales and service. He promptly ascended through the ranks to be promoted as the regional field trainer for all new representatives in Louisiana in 1988, and in 1990 was promoted to the position of Branch Manager of the Lake Charles office and sales manager in Lafayette. Striving to broaden the scope of his services and product offerings to his growing clientele Ivan became an independent financial advisor in 1996.

 

Mr. LaFrance is a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), which required him to take ten rigorous exams over four years, proving his knowledge and experience in investments, taxation, insurance and estate planning.Mr. LaFrance is a member of various industry organizations. He has served on the board of directors of the Acadiana chapter of the American Society of Chartered Financial Consultants. He is also a member of the National Ethics Bureau. He is the author of a bi-monthly newsletter and has also authored informative books on Investing.

Clint C. Laviolette has been an associate of Retirement Resources of Louisiana, Inc. since joining the firm in 2003 as a Financial Advisor, for Securities America. He has 26 years of experience delivering quality financial advice to individuals and business owners. As a Financial Advisor, he specializes in Educational, Estate, Insurance and Retirement Planning.

He has conducted hundreds of family and business consultations completing comprehensive questionnaires with clients. He has worked through detailed analysis’ resulting in qualified recommendations.

 

Mr. Laviolette was also honored with the responsibility of sharing advice in a Financial Advisory Post Employment Program with MetLife Securities. He delivered Retirement and Insurance advice to retiring employees of Fortune 100 Companies including General Motors, IBM, Mobile Oil Corporation, Conoco Inc., Texaco/Chevron, K-Mart, Boeing, J.C. Penny, UPS, Xerox Corp., and International Paper.

 

Mr. Laviolette attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette then went on to complete his B.S. in Business Administration at Southwest University. He is a Registered Representative with the FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Inc.) and a Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF), both requiring the completion of extensive exams in regards to Retirement Planning and Insurance. He is a member of nationally accredited organizations including NAIFA (National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors), NEB (National Ethics Bureau), and MDRT (Million Dollar Round Table). His conviction, principle of ethical compliance, and broad knowledge in Retirement Planning and Insurance is a valuable contribution in the success of Retirement Resources of Louisiana, Inc., its clients and affiliations.

 

Clint, an Acadiana native, is married to Misty LaGrange Laviolette, the Financial Manager for Maritime International, Inc. He has two sons, Giles Mickal Laviolette and Ethan Zane Laviolette, also Acadiana natives.
